Beata’s key area of activity is managing disputes related to trademarks, trade names, geographical indications and unfair competition. She represents clients in proceedings before the Polish Patent Office, Polish courts, the EUIPO as well as the General Court (EU).
Beata advises Clients in all aspects related to their brand strategies to maximize IP protection and diminish the risk of infringement claims. Her goal is to strategize the best course of action based on Clients’ business needs. From setting up of pre-litigation strategies and risk avoidance techniques to alternative dispute resolution and litigation, Beata represents Clients until the completion of each case. This covers all aspects of trademark prosecution, including clearance searches and registrability issues, negotiating and drafting trademark licensing agreements, coexistence settlements, enforcement and litigation actions or defence against trademark infringement claims.
Much of her practice revolves around matters concerning the reputation of trademarks and issues relating to their special protection. Beata is also experienced in the field of geographical indications protection and litigation.
Beata is a member of the Pharmaceutical Trade Marks Group and International Trademark Association (INTA), where she works within INTA Famous and Well-Known Marks Committee. She has published for INTA Bulletin, INTA Reporter, IAM, PTMG’s Law Lore& Practice and World Trademark Review.
In recent year she has been elected to the Editorial Board of the Trademark Lawyer Magazine, where she publishes articles concerning the latest issues in the IP field.
Beata has also been a regular on Who’s Who Legal, Legal 500, WTR 1000 rankings as a recommended trademark lawyer. In addition, in 2023 and 2024 she was awarded with Lexology Client Choice Award in the trademark category for Poland.
