Dr. Henning Lülf has been working in the field of intellectual property since 2013. After working for renowned patent law firms in Hamburg and Munich, Dr. Lülf joined the law firm Wallinger Ricker Schlotter Tostmann in 2017.

His practice focuses on drafting patent applications and conducting European and German patent prosecution proceedings, conducting patent opposition and appeal proceedings, and preparing patent infringement and FTO opinions.

Dr. Lülf studied chemistry at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster and completed an industrial internship of several months at BASF in Brazil (Guaratinguetá, SP) in the field of analytical chemistry.

As part of his diploma thesis, Dr. Lülf worked on the synthesis of transition metal complexes (especially platinum(II) complexes) and their application as emitters in OLEDs. In 2013, he obtained his PhD in nanotechnology from the University of Strasbourg, where Dr. Lülf focused in particular on the synthesis and functionalization of nanoparticles and their application in nanomedicine and electronics.

Dr. Lülf's technical expertise mainly covers nanotechnology, polymer chemistry, "classical" organic and inorganic chemistry, pharmaceuticals and medical engineering, but also extends to other fields, especially the border area between chemistry and engineering.

Dr. Lülf holds a doctorate in chemistry and was admitted as a German Patent Attorney, European Patent Attorney, and European Trademark and Design Attorney in 2017.
