With a background in physics, ultrafast nonlinear optics and biophysical chemistry, Jasper advises clients from a broad range of technical areas. The focus of his work lies on patent and utility model prosecution, litigation and enforcement. Jasper Werhahn has extensive experience in patent prosecution, including the drafting of German, European and international patent applications. Representing both national and international clients from a large variety of technical sectors, he handles and coordinates patent prosecution proceedings throughout the world. 

A focus of Jasper's practice is the handling of infringement proceedings and parallel validity proceedings. He is regularly involved in high-profile national and cross border litigation cases, especially in the field of telecommunications. Jasper participated in a nine-year-long infringement complex which was recently successfully decided in the second round before the Federal Supreme Court in favor of one of the largest mobile phone providers in Germany. 

Jasper graduated from the Technical University of Munich in 2007 and obtained his PhD in 2012 after research projects at the Technical University of Munich and the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in the United States. After further postdoc positions at the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics in Munich and Columbia University in New York, he joined Meissner Bolte in 2014, where he completed his training as European Patent Attorney and German Patent and Trademark Attorney. He has been appointed partner at Meissner Bolte in 2020.
