The characteristics or attributes that clients look for her, are 20 years of IP experience with enriched view derived from the private practice combined with her four years in the Peruvian Patent and Trademark Office.
Ms. Ugarte joined ClarkeModet Peru in 2017 as IP Consultant. In 2020 she was in charge of the technical and legal team until 2021 when she was promoted as Country Managing Director in ClarkeModet Peru, as well as Regional Manager of inventions in Colombia, Peru and Venezuela.
Ms. Ugarte was also a Professor of Intellectual Property course in Universidad de San Martin de Porres, Lima-Peru from 2013 to 2017 and advisor for the Inventor Assistance Program (IAP) of WIPO, supporting Peruvian inventors and small businesses in coordination with the Peruvian Patent Office.
Currently, Ms. Ugarte is Country Manager Director in ClarkeModet Chile.
Ms. Ugarte is a specialist in legal counselling for trademarks and patents, IP negotiations and international development of licences, issues relating to patents, such as protection of national and foreign patents, and patent infringement litigation. Also expert in trademark litigation, brand protection and defense strategies.
