Amir studied mechanical engineering at the RWTH Aachen University (Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen) with focus on production engineering. He has been working in the field of intellectual property since 2009. In 2019 he was appointed to the Examination Commission for German Patent Attorneys bythe Federal Ministry of Justice and is committed to the training of young patent attorneys.
Before founding Wenzel Nemetzade Warthmüller Patentanwälte Part mbB, he worked for renowned patent law firms in Munich, where he gained extensive experience in advising domestic and foreign clients.
Amir is an expert in German and European patent law. His professional focus is on drafting patent applications and representing clients in proceedings with the German Patent and Trademark Office (GPTO) and the European Patent Office (EPO). He has also extensive experience in complex adversarial proceedings and disputes, including nullity proceedings with the Federal Patent Court as well as Oppisition and Appeal Proceedings with the European Patent Office. A further focus of his legal practice lies in the preparation of expert opinions on infringement and validity of German and European patents. He has particular technical expertise in the fields of mechanical engineering, production technology, machine tools, automotive engineering and construction machinery, safety engineering, medical technology, information and communication technology, measurement and control technology, consumer products as well as software.
He also advises his clients on license agreements, in the field of employee invention law as well as on trademarks and designs.
