Emmanuel Flamme

After graduating as a Mechanical and Electrical Civil Engineer from ULB in 1996, I started my career in the automotive industry, where I worked abroad for nearly a decade, mainly as an internal combustion engine development engineer.

My first experience in the field of patents was related to the filing of patent applications. I subsequently joined the European Patent Office in The Hague, where I worked for more than ten years as an examiner, both in examination and opposition proceedings, as an academy trainer, and as a classification expert.

There, I dealt with patent applications relating to engines, electrical components, turbines, as well as lubrication, control and energy recovery systems. Since 2019, I have been working at AWA Benelux. I qualified as a European Patent Attorney in 2020.
