Alexandra Dellmeier

Alexandra Dellmeier is the founder and managing partner of LexDellmeier and a qualified German attorney and specialist lawyer for Intellectual Property Law. She has over 24 years of experience in trademark, design, copyright and licensing law. Her practice focuses on strategic IP advice for national and international clients, as well as the enforcement of intellectual property rights.

She has extensive international experience, including professional positions in the US and Israel, and is bilingual in German and English. Her work has been recognised with the German Trademark Lawyer of the Year award in 2015, 2016 and 2018 and a Women in Law Award (Trademarks) in 2019. LexDellmeier as a firm has won recent awards as Boutique IP Law Firm of the year in 2020 - 2026.

Alexandra is also an experienced speaker and lecturer, having presented at international IP conferences including INTA and delivered numerous seminars and webinars on trademarks, designs, counterfeiting, IP valuation and AI and IP.

• European General Court Case No. T-132/16 (PayPal v EUIPO - Hub Culture (VENMO)): Trademark proof of use case, 3-letter mark "VEN" in the field of cryptocurrency; OUTCOME: Turn-around of "lost/desperate" case after two lost instances by other firm; outcome: Hub Space (client) was able to keep its "VEN" mark which would have otherwise been lost.BPatG (German Federal Patent Court)
  Case No. 27 W (pat) 3/16 - OTTO vs. QVC, Inc. 
• Registrability of a the one-letter mark "Q" (word mark) for - among others class 35 "retail services"; trademark was registered as it was seen distinctive by the BPatG; LexDellmeier represented QVC, Inc.Counterfeiting Case for medical device client: litigation and custom seizures of counterfeited devices; regular price: 70.000 - 100.000 EUR; counterfeited medical device from China, Taiwan and South Korea: approx. 2.500 - 3.000 EUR including significant health damages of humans; coordination of world-wide investigation (LexDellmeier as lead law firm) and coordination of take-down of 3 manufacturers including criminal charges and reimbursement of civil damages.
