Céline Bey heads the IP department of Gowling WLG in Paris. Member of the Paris Bar since 1998, she is an expert in IP and IT law. She has broad legal expertise in all fields of intellectual property and related areas such as privacy, marketing and advertising law, and unfair competition.
Ms Bey has been involved in complex cases across the full range of IP rights, acting for some of the world’s best-known companies and brands. She assists clients in all aspects of non-contentious intellectual property and has in particular longstanding experience in the management and enforcement of IP rights, including trademark clearance, risk assessment, oppositions and settlement agreements.
Ms Bey is also involved in IP portfolio reviews and management in corporate deals and licensing operations.
Her expertise in worldwide brand protection and enforcement, including online, is widely recognised. Appearing before the French and EU courts has enabled her to forge a reputation for excellence, speed and determination. She has a deep-rooted understanding of French litigation procedure and of handling complex pan-European litigation and disputes, including before the EU courts.
