Dilek is a chartered trademark & patent attorney in Turkey and is one of the Managing partners at Starker IP. She is mainly responsible for clients in foreign countries in all areas of obtaining and enforcing IP rights since 2005.
Born in Germany, she attended a Catholic and later a Jewish high school and graduated with a first-class degree from the University of Siegen as a B.A. in Literacy Cultural, and Media Studies in Germany. She currently lives in Turkey.
Her focus is mainly the foreign clientele consultancy and IP portfolio management of larger portfolios. Her main practice area is managing complex IP portfolios and she is currently leading the overseas department. She has a special reputation in anti-counterfeit and managing in-use search projects she represents legal disputes before the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office. Her additional activity fields are online brand enforcement as well as consultancy and representation in domain name disputes. She is known for her talents in solving critical and complex cases and handling complicated disputes. She is also a registered sworn translator, interpreter, and consultant of several notaries in the Turkish Republic.
Dilek is bundling her national and international experiences in IP Law gained from prestigious international clients and their projects and is specialized in trademark and patent matters by applying her experiences in enforcing registered and unregistered trademark rights across the world.
Dilek speaks Turkish, German, French, and English very well.
She is an active member of INTA, GRUR, VPP and AIPPI and is an active member of the INTA professional development committee and leads the “other content” team.
