Paula is Trademark Attorney in the European and International division of ISERN Patentes y Marcas and also supports the firm in Data Protection matters. She joined the firm in 2019 and holds more than 10 year´s experience in IP.
Paula graduated in Law at University of Salamanca. She holds a Master in Intellectual Property and Unfair Competition, a Master in New Technologies Law as well as an Executive course in Data Protection Officer -in all the mentioned specialization programmes she obtained the best academic record-.
She is specialized in all kind of proceedings before EUIPO as oppositions, appeals, cancellation actions or absolute grounds. In her daily work she also drafts and negotiates agreements and contracts in any IP field, handles large IP portfolios and provides comprehensive, ongoing, and proactive advice on protection and enforcement strategies to the firm´s clients. She also has experience in defending client´s interests in trademark matters before the General Court in Luxembourg.
She is currently member of the IP Emerging Issues Committee of Marques Association.
Paula is so enthusiastic about IP that, in order to keep always informed and updated on this field, she began collaborating in 2020 as regular contributor in the online Law magazine “A Definitivas”, where she frequently writes about topical subjects related to IP.
She has also been speaker at numerous courses and conferences and, indeed, she is currently teaching about IP at the Master on Digital Health Innovation run by Universidad Complutense of Madrid.
