His experience as a legal practitioner span over three decades. He draws on his training as both an engineer and a lawyer to provide insightful advice to the Firm's clients in diverse sectors on various corporate/commercial transactions.

He regularly advises clients on contentious and non-contentious IP work and works closely with clients across various industries to manage, protect and advance their portfolio of IP rights. He advises on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholder rights, corporate structures and other corporate governance issues. He also advises on transaction options and strategies. Theo advises clients on the IP protection elements of the respective transactions.

Theo advised The Coca-Cola Company in its US$588 million acquisition of CHI Limited, a leading producer of juice and value-added dairy brands in Nigeria. This follows his work on other major M&A transactions, which include advising the Seven-up Bottling Company Plc on a corporate restructuring transaction and the subsequent delisting of the company from the Nigerian Stock Exchange; advising Nampak, Africa's biggest packaging firm, on its successful acquisition of a Nigerian beverage can manufacturing company as part of its expansion drive in the region; and advising Castel in relation to its strategic alliance with SABMiller.
