Ömer Dündar is an Attorney at Law and a Chartered Trademark Attorney. He has a B.S. Degree in Business Administration from Tulane University in New Orleans and a J.D. Degree from Bilgi University in Istanbul.
In between these two degrees, Ömer worked as a trademark administrator at White & Case LLP and Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP in New York. During the course of three years, he worked on the account of a major pharmaceutical company, where his responsibilities included assisting the client’s in-house trademark department at their premises. This combined work experience enabled Ömer to increase his breadth having a major law firm’s perspective combined with understanding the expectations of the ultimate client. Today he sees himself fortunate to be continuing to work with his former employees as well as the mentioned major pharmaceutical client with respect to their trademark matters in Türkiye.
Ömer started his legal studies in New York but then transferred to Bilgi University in Istanbul as that was where he wanted to live and work. Ömer has been advising clients on trademark strategy and enforcement issues for over 20 years in various capacities. Being the founding partner of Dündar Law Firm and a Board Member of Stock, Ömer serves as a thought leader internally and to the IP community, promoting the importance of constant progress.
Ömer is a founding member of AIPPI Türkiye and member of its first board of directors, a founding member of FICPI Türkiye and a member of INTA.
