Claudia Unsin is a European and German patent attorney since 2014. She specializes in examination, opposition and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office and coordinates the prosecution of patent portfolios worldwide. Her main areas of activity are in biotechnology and life sciences, with a focus on microbiology, antibodies, diagnostic and therapeutic methods, as well as genetic engineering.
Claudia studied biology at the Universities of Ulm and Tuebingen, Germany, graduating in microbiology, genetics and biochemistry. She received scholarships from the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). After being a Postdoctoral Scientist at the School of Pharmacy, University of Wisconsin-Madison (WI, USA), she joined Hoffmann Eitle in 2010.
