  • Advised a manufacturer of skincare, cosmetics, toiletries, and fragrances on various matters concerning their current and proposed trade marks, leading to the successful registration of their marks. Our work also involved defending our client against similar third-party marks that encroached upon and potentially infringed their rights.
  • Successfully acted for a major film company in a landmark decision by the Singapore High Court with respect to a site-blocking application where a "dynamic site-blocking" order was granted.
  • Assisted various clients with enforcement actions against retailers distributing unauthorized set-top boxes that provided access to the client's copyrighted content. Our comprehensive approach included advising on enforcement strategy, conducting market sweeps, gathering evidence, applying for search warrants, and executing criminal raids, which resulted in the seizure of infringing devices and successful negotiations with the retailers to cease their illegal activities.
  • Represented a manufacturer of cutting-edge products in an arbitration against a conglomerate over licensing fees paid to a third-party group for certain patent open standards. Our client asserts that the conglomerate breached an agreement by failing to obtain the relevant licenses at their own expense, resulting in loss and damage to our client.
  • Represented a Japanese pharmaceutical company in complex IP and regulatory transactions across key Asian markets, including divestitures and licensing of proprietary IP. Our comprehensive legal counsel has ensured seamless transfers of IP rights, marketing authorizations, and licenses, while our international expertise has been crucial in coordinating advice from local counsel and translating it into actionable strategies and transaction documents.
