Sindre advises his clients in a range of IP matters, helping them with both national and international drafting and prosecution. He started his career as a development engineer in the automotive sector before moving into technical consultancy within structural engineering. His expertise during his time in industry included the development of low and high volume products, from concept phase to production, as well as gaining in-depth knowledge of CAD and FEM. This hands-on background provided him with extensive insight into real world practical and commercial applications of intellectual property.
His development experience led to a career in IP and he joined Zacco in 2012, where he now assists clients with the development of their patent portfolios. This includes implementation of general IP strategies, patent searches, drafting, prosecutions, infringement analysis and oppositions. His technical expertise lies primarily in the mechanical field of technology, with a keen interest in vehicles both airborne, on land and at sea.
Sindre has an M.Sc. degree in Engineering Design and Materials from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and University of Technology, Sydney (UTS). During his studies, he specialised in product development and wrote his Master thesis on “Design Optimization of Sports Car”.
In 2021, Sindre joined another firm briefly for 20 months, helping them to launch their Norwegian operations, before returning to Zacco as a Patent Attorney in late 2022.
