Vikrant Rana is the Managing Partner of SS Rana & Co, a 35-year-old full-service law firm. He has been consistently recognised as a “Highly recommended individual” by WTR 1000 and has also been ranked in India Business Law Journal’s A-list and as a Trademark Star by IP Stars. Mr. Rana’s expertise and experience encompasses a broad spectrum of trademark practices, including prosecution, opposition, enforcement and litigation.
Vikrant advises several Fortune 500, multinational companies as well as grassroots innovators on contentious and non-contentious trademark matters. He is also an IP facilitator with the Government of India’s Start-ups Intellectual Property Protection (SIPP) scheme launched in 2016 and in pursuance of the same has assisted more than 200 start-ups and grass root innovators in protection and enforcement of their IP in India and across the world.
It is noteworthy to mention that Mr. Rana is a well-known Speaker and Guest Faculty at several academic institutions and industrial and trade forums, which frequently invite him for their seminars and conferences. Has been a torch bearer for sensitizing students and innovators about importance of protection of IP and has presented in numerous conferences, seminars, webinars and symposiums organized by esteemed Government and non-Government association.
He has also authored several Book chapters, journal submissions and research papers published in collaboration with aforesaid organizations and institutions.
It is noteworthy to mention here that, Mr. Rana has also been appointed as the Professor of Practice by Law College Dehradun - India, Uttaranchal University in an endeavour to bridge the gap between Industry and academia.
He has also been an arbitrator with the National Internet Exchange of India to adjudicate domain name disputes.
He is an avid sportsman, as well as an enthusiastic runner, having participated in more than 12 half-marathons. He is also a certified yoga teacher.
