Dr. Vivian Wei Cheng is a registered Singapore Patent Attorney and a qualified Chinese Patent Attorney. Vivian heads the Patent and Industrial Design Group at JurisAsia LLC, a Singapore law firm exclusively associated with Gowling WLG.
She has extensive experience drafting and prosecuting patent and industrial design applications domestically and in foreign jurisdictions, as well as providing business-focused strategic advice on intellectual property (IP) portfolio and risk management, as well as litigation support. She as well conducts infringement and validity analysis and patent searches.
Vivian works closely with a number of national, regional and global companies, universities, and start-ups, to secure, exploit and extract value from IP. Vivian specializes in sectors including life sciences, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, bio-materials, health, immunology, consumer care products, agriculture and food products, and medical devices.
