Eduardo Molina is Senior Partner and Managing Director at Villaseca Abogados, leading the firm’s Patent Department. With over 30 years of experience in intellectual property, he has developed a robust practice advising domestic and international clients on the protection and strategic management of technological innovations across diverse industries.
His expertise encompasses the prosecution, enforcement and commercialization of patents, utility models and industrial designs, as well as the design and implementation of IP portfolios aligned with R&D, regulatory and commercial objectives. Eduardo also advises on matters of patentability, freedom to operate, technology licensing and infringement risk mitigation, particularly in complex or regulated sectors such as mining, materials, construction, civil works, and engineering.
He is a Civil Constructor Engineer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and completed advanced studies in Intellectual Property Law at the Franklin Pierce Law Center (USA). He frequently participates in legislative discussions and public policy forums related to innovation and IP, contributing to the modernization and international alignment of the Chilean patent system.
Eduardo served as Chair of the Chilean Association of Intellectual Property (ACHIPI – Chilean Group of AIPPI) and maintains active membership in key international organizations such as AIPLA, AIPPI, ASIPI, FICPI, IPO and INTA, allowing him to maintain a comparative and globally informed practice.
