Jakob Schwalbe Lohmann is part of our Life Science & Chemistry team and has extensive expert knowledge within a wide range of technologies, especially CRISPR, stem cells, radiopharmaceuticals (Theranostics), antibodies, vaccines, food, feed, plants and nutrition. In addition, Jakob has experience with seed and bacteria depositing. He works with all aspects of intellectual property rights (IPR). Due to his diverse range of clients, including international companies, SMEs, universities, hospitals and investors, he has a unique understanding of IP from different perspectives. He also advises on patent strategy, commercialization, and gives lectures on IPR-related subjects. To gain a better understanding of business development within the life science area, Jakob has completed an education at Copenhagen Business School (CBS).
Furthermore, Jakob is registered as a representative before the Unified Patent Court (UPC).
He has worked on several research projects and is a co-inventor on several patents and an author of several scientific papers. As a patent attorney his research includes providing insights into the effectiveness of third-party observations (3POs) at the European Patent Office (EPO) and the Danish Patent and Trademark Office. He has also contributed to the book “Antibody Patenting: A Practitioner's Guide to Drafting, Prosecution and Enforcement of Antibody Patents (Second Edition)" edited by Jürgen Meier and Oswin Ridderbusch.
Jakob joined Plougmann Vingtoft in 2008.
