Jakob has technical expertise within the areas of molecular biology, biotechnology, medicine, food technology, agriculture and protein technology. He works with international companies, SMEs, universities, and hospitals.
Jakob is a named co-inventor on several patent applications and patents. He is highly experienced within patent search analyses, patentability assessments, freedom-to-operate analysis (FTO), patent surveillances and due diligence analysis. Further, he has vast experience in the drafting and international case administration of patent applications.
Previously, Jakob has worked on research projects relating to “single-molecule-detection tools” at the Institute of health sciences at the University of Aarhus and has worked specifically with DNA, RNA and protein technology.
Jakob has completed the CEIPI Course on Patent Litigation in Europe at the University of Strasbourg, and he will therefore receive the European Patent Litigation Certificate under the Unified Patent Court when it enters into force.
Jakob is also a Qualified Patent Information Professional (QPIP).
At Plougmann Vingtoft, Jakob has carried out research to provide insights into the effectiveness of third-party observations at the EPO and the Danish Patent and Trademark Office.
