Lone has over 30 years of experience advising on a range of legal matters within intellectual property, in particular trademarks and domain names.
Lone is considered a trusted business partner to many of her clients, often involved from the early development and implementation of their IP strategy. Her considerable experience and knowledge forms an integral part of securing and enforcing most client’s brand identities, deftly navigating their global requirements and identifying the most suitable approach.
Lone’s strengths span the prosecution and enforcement strategies of large and diverse trademark and design portfolios, advising on international clearance, filing and oppositions. Her conflict resolution expertise has seen achieve regular success with trademark conflicts in Denmark, Europe and beyond, including Board of Appeals, Court cases and EUTM oppositions.
Lone is a WIPO Panelist and has been an alternate judge with the Danish Domain Name Dispute Resolution Centre and a .eu Panelist as well as an examined Danish Patent Agent of the Danish Association of Patent Agents. She is an attorney-at-law and holds a Master of Law degree from the University of Copenhagen.
Her memberships in various associations include The European Communities Trade Mark Association (ECTA) and the International Federation of intellectual Property Agents (FICPI). She is a professional representative before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
Lone is regularly recognised as a Recommended Individual in the WTR 1000 and has recently been described as one of their Global Leaders, praising her as “a wonderful adviser with encyclopaedic trademark knowledge”. She has also been ranked internationally by Managing IP as an IP Star and as one of the Top 250 Women in IP.
