Tomasz Grucelski is an advocate as well as a patent and trademark attorney with extensive experience in litigation, representing both national and international clients in disputes and court litigations in civil, criminal and administrative cases.

He specializes in intellectual property protection, unfair competition and trade secrets as well as in the protection of personal interests and criminal law.

He graduated from the University of Central Lancashire, Preston, United Kingdom, with a Bachelor’s degree. He was awarded a Master degree from the best law faculty in Poland and as post-graduated in Intellectual Property Law at the University of Warsaw.

Tomasz gained his experience, inter alia, in the Law Department of the European Patent Office in The Hague, the Netherlands, in the Industrial Designs Department (Invalidity Division) and the Trademark Department (Opposition Division) at the EUIPO Alicante - Spain.

His experience and knowledge is particularly valuable for JWP’s international clients.
Apart from being a partner in JWP, Tomasz is a member and plays an active role in ECTA’s Anticounterfeiting Committee (since 2015) as well as ECTA’s EUIPO-Link Committee (since 2019). He was also selected from an international group of several hundred candidates to participate in the exclusive SQAP program. As a certified auditor, he works to improve the quality of decisions issued by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), sharing his observations with the Office’s experts. Tomasz is also a Judge and Secretary of the Disciplinary Court of the Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys.

He manages dozens of disputes and court litigations, counsels on IP infringement and anticounterfeiting related matters (including clients such as Dyson, Ferrero), supervises and co-ordinates protection of rights of JWP’s clients all around the world (e.g. CD Projekt S.A. –a leading video games developer).
