Carolina is a graduate in Materials Engineering (UPM, 2021) with a Master´s degree in Management and Development of Biomedical Technologies (UC3M, 2022).
During her studies she specialized in the field of biomaterials and collaborated with the nanomedicine research group “Organic NanoTechnology” at UPM, where she carried out the synthesis of nanoparticles for controlled drug release in neuroblastoma cells. In addition, during her stay at UC3M she collaborated with a research group dedicated to the implementation of omics technologies in biomedicine. Specifically, she conducted a study of the therapeutic mechanisms of mesenchymal cells for the treatment of recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (RDEB) in the context of a clinical trial.
Since 2022 she has been working as a Patent Adviser at TRBL Services. Her professional practice at TRBL Services’ Intellectual Property department involves patent drafting, patent prosecution, and opinion work. Her main technical areas of expertise include materials science, biomedicine, nanotechnology, chemical and industrial engineering.
