Ida Rømer Johannesen joined Plougmann Vingtoft in 2021.
Ida offers strategic advice on intellectual property rights – primarily within trademarks and design.
Ida provides advice to clients on all kinds of proceedings related to trademarks and design, including availability searches, national and international filings and prosecution as well as advises on and handles oppositions, cancellations/revocations, invalidity actions and other related disputes and negotiations.
Ida represents national and international clients consisting of both large international corporations, SMEs as well as start-ups and individuals in trademark and design matters before the Danish Patent and Trademark Office (DKPTO), the Danish Board of Appeal for Patent and Trademarks, EUIPO (the European Union Intellectual Property Office) as well as EUIPO Boards of Appeal. Ida is a professional representative before EUIPO.
Prior to joining Plougmann Vingtoft, Ida worked for the DKPTO for 6,5 years. During her time at the DKPTO, Ida worked as a trademark examiner, with oppositions and cancellations/revocations and was a member of the design team examining design applications and handling invalidity actions. At the DKPTO Ida also facilitated multiple dialogue meetings with SMEs about the protection of their ideas through use of trademark and design rights.
Accordingly, Ida is highly specialised in IP law with particular focus on trademark and design law.
Ida speaks Danish and English fluently.
